I coordinated and executed a campaign in collaboration with the Black Eyed Peas and abstract expressionist painter Jack Coulter that raised over $20,000 to benefit Color of Change. Drawing inspiration from the Black Eyed Peas’ eighth full-length album and debut for Epic Records, TRANSLATION, Coulter created a triptych of paintings. As a synesthete, he accessed his ability to see sound in color, essentially rendering or “translating” the music onto canvas. The campaign brought awareness to the album (which landed at #3 on the Latin Billboard Chart) and, more importantly, contributed to the fight for racial justice and equality.
